Social Media Check-Up: The Big Four [Infographic]

Hey Hubzers,

Since we will all be doing our Christmas shopping pretty soon, I think it’s time for a social media check-up.

Things have changed since 2010 (surprise, surprise), the social media gods have blessed us with Google+, the Facebook Timeline, LinkedIn Company status updates and Facebook iPad App.

The longer the BIG Four: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+, are at each other’s throats, the better  things get for us users. They are all stealing and learning from each other, competing for our undivided attention; Google+ is using hashtags now for crying-out-loud.

If the world doesn’t end in 2012 we may even see Facebook reach 1 billion users.

FYI Two things have achieved this level of world class popularity: Google Earth, with over 1 billion downloads and there are over 1 billion Tweets a day.

Social Media Check-Up

  • Google+ cost 585 million to build and earns $0.00 in revenue
  • LinkedIn users have 82% confidence in the information shared on LinkedIn
  • Over 460,000 new Twitter accounts are created every single day
  • The average Facebooker is connected to 80 pages ranging from events to groups to fanpages
