How to get the new Facebook Timeline profile now!

Alright.. I tested this method out and it worked just fine. And I’m totally loving the new timeline. I posted a few hours ago what I thought this meant for social media and now that I have it I stand behind it even stronger. This is amazing!!

If you follow the instructions below you should get the new Timeline profile.

Keep in mind this is a Developer version so it could change at any second and you could lose it as well. Also note that only you can see it, not your friends.

I’m surprised Facebook let this get leaked so fast..But oh well!

1. Log into Facebook (duh)

2. Enable developer mode if you haven’t already. To do this type “developer” into the Facebook search box and click the first result which should be an app by Facebook with a few thousand users. Add the app.

3. Jump into the developer app if for some reason Facebook doesn’t send you there.

4. Create a new app (don’t worry you won’t be submitting this for anyone else to see or use. Give your app any display name and namespace you want. Read through and agree to the privacy agreement.

5. Once on the new app’s main setting screen you should see the app name near the top of the page.

6. Look for the “Open Graph” link on the left hand sidebar, click on it.

7. Then click “Get Started using open graph”.

8. Create a test action for your app. I put in “plan” and “trip” in the 2 boxes and then click “Get Started”

9. This should take you to the configuration page. You may need to change the verbs to past and future tense. Facebook actually did this for me. Make sure to click through all 3 pages of settings.

10. Wait about 2-3 minutes….

11. Go back to your homescreen and you should see a white box at the top for an invite to try the Timeline.

Below I’ll show you what the timeline looks like and watch as I set it up.. I love the features:
